Dream Villa

We had an incredible stay with our family at Villa on the Rocks. The property is stunning—both beautiful and incredibly private, surrounded by lush vegetation that makes it feel like a true escape. One of our favorite features was how the natural boulders are seamlessly incorporated into the architecture, both inside and out—it gives the villa such a unique and special character. The home is thoughtfully decorated, well stocked, and the beds were extremely comfortable. Each day felt like a dream—waking up to breathtaking views, watching sailboats drift by, taking a short walk to a gorgeous, quiet beach we often had entirely to ourselves, and ending the evenings with unforgettable sunsets back at the villa. Kara and Bernadette were incredibly responsive and helpful both before and during our stay, and Erica did an amazing job taking care of us and keeping the villa spotless throughout. We couldn’t recommend Villa on the Rocks more highly—truly a perfect stay.

Absolutely wonderful!

We stayed at On The Rocks in 2013 and loved it. When we started planning a 2026 trip with two other couples, we knew we wanted to share our favorite vacation home with them. OTR did not disappoint! It has been updated with many new furnishings and A/C in the main living area of the house (in addition to the four bedrooms). We love the "pod" concept, with three separate buildings connected by the many amazing outdoor spaces. This allowed for group togetherness and couples privacy as desired. The gorgeous ocean view looking west toward Tortola hasn't changed a bit. And the beaches! Wow! If you like turquoise water, gentle waves, sand and giant boulders, you would be hard pressed to find a more beautiful set of beaches anywhere. While Little Trunk Bay Estate has 11 homes, we had the Little Trunk Bay beach almost entirely to ourselves all week long. Even the much larger Valley Trunk beach (connected by a short path) was all ours except for visiting catamarans anchored offshore. Exploring the rest of the island is wonderful too, but it's hard to leave a perfect home with amazing views and beaches. Thanks to Bernadette, Erica, Chet and the rest of the team who made our stay memorable!

Lance, when you contacted me after a decade to return to VG, I was delighted. Thank you for coming to stay at On The Rocks. We are so happy that you had a wonderful time. We know you will come again, and hopefully it will not be 10 more years! See you very soon.

On the Rocks is a one of a kind experience. The natural beauty of the Baths flows right into the living experience of this house. The pool & garden spaces are as beautiful as the interior of the home. This is an ideal home for 4 couples or a family. The beach is only a short walk away& the neighborhood is very private. We hope to stay here again!

Wonderful family vacation!

On The Rocks was the IDEAL vacation getaway! Our family loved this home and especially the location. You can truly walk down to the most beautiful beach in the world in just minutes. The home was extremely clean and functional. The pool was the perfect spot for cooling off, and the furniture/fixtures both inside and out really made this stand out as one of our most favorite AirBnb experiences. The beds were extremely comfortable and the layout was very private. Note that one of the rooms (Azure I believe) is completely off by itself and feels like a jungle retreat. The Pink Sands room is off of the main living space and shares a bath with that area. The two rooms in the tower by the pool connect internally. All of the rooms and bathrooms were beautiful, spacious, and swoon worthy. The views of the ocean, boats, and other islands brought peace and gratitude. Both Kara (the owner) and the house manager, Bernadette, were wonderful. Bernadette went above and beyond for our family.

On The Rocks: A Dream Retreat in Virgin Gorda

We had the best time at On The Rocks!!! In short, there is no better place to experience the beautiful and immensely natural paradise of Virgin Gorda. The house is located in a prime location near the world-famous Baths. This breathtaking villa literally offered us everything that we could dream of in a tropical retreat. From the moment we stepped onto the property, we were greeted by awe-inspiring views of the Caribbean Sea and the surrounding natural beauty – what an amazing unforgettable experience. This magnificent house was definitely designed with an eye for detail, as it blends a modern interior vibe with the outdoor beauty that Virgin Gorda offers. One of the most striking features is the way the villa has been meticulously constructed around the island’s famous boulders. The huge granite rocks that make the Baths so special are also found at On The Rocks – in fact, the house was somehow magically built around the boulders! The house has large, open windows and glass doors flood the house with natural light, offering unobstructed view of the gorgeous blue waters below and the lush greenery surrounding you. Whether we were lounging by the small but easy to enjoy pool or having an early morning coffee together on the lovely outdoor patio, we could not get enough! The villa’s proximity to The Baths was especially awesome, as it just a short walk up the road from the property. However, it was the seclusion and privacy offered by the house that truly sets it apart – we could not see a neighbor! Even better the beach right down the lane from the is practically your own private place, as we only saw four other people there the entire week…and the snorkeling off the beach, around those rocks, was spectacular... In sum, On The Rocks is a one of those truly unique homes that offer everything we could have possibly needed for an unforgettable vacation. The house’s unparalleled location, exceptional design, and luxurious amenities bring it to a “5 star” approval from our family of 6. I mean… outdoor showers, watching the sunsets from the patio, snorkeling in the crystal-clear waters, or simply relaxing on the almost-private beach, every moment at this villa felt like a dream come true!!! We could not more highly recommended this house – for anyone seeking a true island paradise, this On The Rocks is the place!!!!

Perfect location on Virgin Gorda

OTR was a perfect place for our family of 8 adults. The home is beautiful, the views are spectacular, the location is centrally located but secluded. It has everything you need and more! The beds, the linens, the furniture are all above average. Kitchen had a great supply of cookware, plates, and glasses. Before grocery shopping, check their supply of spices and staples. Grocery store is a 5 to 10 minute drive, no problem! Bernadette, the Manager, is excellent! Easy to work with, delightful, and responsive. Isola, the Housekeeper, is a treasure! She keeps the place spotlessly clean. We loved seeing her, she is a kindhearted, lovely person. The beaches (all a few minutes walk) provide great snorkeling (Spring Bay), body surfing and a very large beach (Big Trunk Bay), sitting peacefully and watching the waves (Little Trunk Bay). The pool was always perfect! The gentle sound of the waterfall greeted us every morning. The beach supplies and the pool floaters were all we could have needed. If you want a vacation that allows you to rest, relax, go to the beach, look at beauty, and hang by the pool, you don’t even need a car. If, as we did, you want to sprinkle in a 45 minute hike to the top of Gorda Peak (highly recommend for unbeatable view), exploring other snorkeling (Nail Bay and Long Bay), stumbling upon a giant colorful “VIRGIN GORDA” art piece, and sampling restaurants then a car is very handy. We highly recommend OTR as a perfect location in the British Virgin Islands! We hope to return someday soon!

Peggy, it was a pleasure to host you and your lovely family at On The Rocks. You had done well in your planning with email requests and I was happy to respond to emails, and to assist with the planning.  On checkout day, it was particularly good to hear your comments about enjoying the pool and the quality of sleep. (The mattresses are the best for sure.)  Also, so glad that you saw the giant lobster when diving and that your snorkel trips were rewarded with teeming sea life. Best place to stay on Virgin Gorda

We had a delightful stay at On the Rocks! Everything you would need in a home can be found here: four ensuite bedrooms with air conditioning, a beautiful pool, a short walk to the beach, a kitchen with every cooking utensil you might need, a BBQ grill, and - most importantly - spectacular views. We stayed in the Sea Glass room which had incredible views from the bed, bathroom and even the outdoor shower. The home is decorated beautifully - light and bright. My favorite parts of each day were sitting on the patio (really an outdoor living space) for my morning coffee and evening cocktail watching the sun set over Sir Francis Drake Channel looking at Tortola and other islands. I can't wait to go back to beautiful Virgin Gorda - and will stay at On the Rocks when I do!

On the Rocks is simply perfect! The villa itself is beautiful and every bedroom feels like an oasis. The pool, views and beach are gorgeous. We would return to this property time and time again. Thank you for a wonderful vacation!
